Tim Cross, Major General

Tim’s operational service included the Balkans and Iraq; his CBE was awarded for leading the KFOR response to the humanitarian crisis. In 2002 he deployed to Washington, Kuwait and Baghdad as the UK Deputy to the US-led Office of Reconstruction and Humanitarian Affairs. Returning to the UK in 2003, he assumed command of one of the three Divisions of the UK Field Army, and retired in 2007. He is on the board of 2 International Aid Agencies, a Visiting Professor at three Universities, and a Defence Adviser to a number of International Companies and the House of Commons Defence Committee.
