Kirsty Schneeberger was honoured as an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list 2010 for services to environmental conservation and her work as coordinator of the UK Youth Climate Coalition and her work at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change negotiations as a youth advocate and policy analyst since Poznan in 2008 and leading the UK youth delegation to 2009 COP in Copenhagen.

More recently, Kirsty coordinated the Department of Energy and Climate Change's Youth Advisory Panel for 2010. She also works as a consultant on helping decision-makers mainstream intergenerational equity in their work and her recent publication in Environmental Law and Management developed ideas for how intergenerational equity could be put into practice.
